Q. How much does it cost to employ an interior designer?
A. Designers work in several ways but employing James Mackie is very simple:
The first visit is free to discuss possibilities and inspiration. If the customer wants to proceed James charges £350 plus VAT per room to design sample boards for the spaces that include all aspects of the job. He will budget the entire project and oversee the work (see prices and interiors). There are reductions in fees for projects involving many rooms. Travel costs may be added to some projects.
Q. Do I have to find my own decorator?
A. If you have your own that's fine. Mackies has a wide range of high quality craftsmen who always undertake their work including painters and decorators, builders, plumbers, electricians, and cabinet makers.
Q. Do you have every Farrow and Ball paint in stock?
A. We have an extensive range of the most popular colours in the main finishes and we have all the sample pots. Some colours and finishes will have to be ordered. Mackies order paint on Saturday afternoon at 4.00 pm and it arrives on the
following Wednesday. Ring the shop first and think ahead. 01524 33432.
Q. Do you make up curtains, blinds etc?
A. Yes, any of our fabulous fabrics can be made up to your requirements and we can measure up and fit too.

A. Yes we have a complete service and We have an extensive range of the best upholstery fabrics and trims to choose from.
