Interior Design Process

1. Free consultation with James 
2. Preparation of sample boards suggesting colours, fabrics, paints, papers, specialist finishes, furniture, accessories etc
3. Presentation of design with the client and discussion followed by any ammendments
4. Measuring, estimating and preparation of a detailed budget once design is agreed
5. A deposit of 50% is payable on materials before the project begins
6. Mackies helps to schedule and oversee the work undertaken and remains available to the client throughout the project
7. Mackies install curtains, furniture etc. and undertake the all-important finishing touches.

Mackies can often help with the suggestion of experienced decorating and building contractors etc.

Interior Design Cost

£350 + VAT per room. For projects requiring more than four spaces a lower rate will be suggested.
The rate is based on the assumption that all materials will be sourced through Mackies. A design client discount can often be offered if the amounts of materials are large and carriage costs can be minimised. 

Labour Charges

£22.50 + VAT per person per hour for installation of window poles, curtains etc.

Specialist Painting

£30 + VAT per person per hour
Preparatory drawings and meetings will also be charged for.

Travel Costs

For round-trip journeys over 40 miles travel charges may apply at 40 pence per mile.
